Greetings Suffolk Republicans!

Just wanted to let you all know about the upcoming events in Suffolk County for GOP faithfuls like yourselves. We have a lot of fun things going on, but the biggest event has to be our annual LobsterFest! Every year it’s a huge success and a lot of fun, with no complaints from those who attend!

This year’s LobsterFest will be on June 24th from 6-8. It’s $175 a person, but it’s worth it for the tasty food, good companionship and—most of all—helping the Republican Party rebuild our majority control, starting at the local level!

Newsday Endorses Suffolk’s GOP Senate Team!

The Newsday editorial endorsing all of our incumbent Republican State Senators was a positive development in this year’s election. Perhaps the reality of a state completely controlled by New York City has finally hit home. Without a Republican-controlled senate, there would be no counterbalance to the city Democrats who have Governor Paterson and Speaker Shelly Silver already in control of two-thirds of the state.

By retaining the State Senate, the Republican Party can be in position to save our fair share of school aid. If we had a significant loss as the Democrats in the Assembly propered, taxes would skyrocket.

Trunzo and Majority Leader Skelos Kick-Off Spring to Election Day!

The Trunzo campaign just sent us some great pictures from a campaign rally they held this weekend in Patchogue with Majority Leader Dean Skelos.

Senator Trunzo addresses the crowd. Around him are Majority Leader Dean Skelos, Sen. Flanagan, Sen. LaValle, Brookhaven GOP Chairman Jesse Garcia and Suffolk County Conservative Party Chairman Ed Walsh.

“We need Caesar Trunzo in Albany fighting for property tax relief for local homeowners, quality schools for our children, and good jobs for our local economy,” Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos said. “The stakes have never been higher for Long Island than they are in this year’s election, and that’s why we need everyone to get out there on Election Day and vote to keep Caesar Trunzo right where he belongs — in the New York State Senate.”

We just got word from the Trunzo campaign that they are asking Trunzo supporters to come out this weekend and help spread the word about all that the Senator has done and will continue to do for his district. If you can help, come down to their Patchogue HQ this Saturday morning to get literature and go door-to-door campaigning. Those who don’t want to go door-to-door can work in the phone banks starting at 10:30. Call the Trunzo campaign for details: 569-4012.

While we fight for Trunzo, Trunzo keeps working for us! Senator Trunzo joined our Long Island State Senators, the New York State Banking Department and various mortgage lenders to hold “Operation Protect Your Home;” a foreclosure prevention forum on Saturday, September 27th at Dowling College in Shirley, New York.

Trunzo, “Dean of Labor,” Leading in Poll

John D'Urso, President, Long Island Federation of Labor, introduced CT to a crowd of over 5,000 Union leaders and members at the Labor Picnic as the "Dean of Labor."

The latest Siena poll has Senator Caesar Trunzo leading his well-financed opponent by 6%. The State Democrats are funding Brian Foley’s campaign in hopes of upsetting the Senator and perhaps take control of the Senate. Thankfully, a majority of voters in Senator Trunzo’s district are aware of the dangers of allowing the Democrats to control all three branches of government in New York State. If the Democrats took over complete control of New York, then New York City leadership would begin diverting our school taxes from the suburbs to their own city school system, forcing us to raise property taxes or drastically cut services. Caesar Trunzo’s reelection will help keep balance in our state government.
